Welcome to the farm at Brooksdale in Surrey, British Columbia! “Community Shared Agriculture” (CSA for short) is a way of connecting people more closely to the source of their food. It is a simple and affordable way for folks to know and support their farmers while having access to the healthiest, freshest food possible. CSA members commit to the farm for a whole season by paying in advance for a weekly harvest box.
Thank you for your interest in fresh, sustainable food! We have sold out of shares for the 2016 season, but you can still find our lovely produce at our weekly Kingfisher Farm Market every Tuesday from noon to 6:30pm. If you are keen to participate in the CSA in 2017, please contact us again in November. We always need helpers, so consider joining us as a volunteer.
“I made a pumpkin pie from scratch for the first time ever with my CSA thanksgiving pumpkin! Thank-you to the farmers for all the love and work that you put into our bins. This was our first year with A Rocha but we will be subscribers for years to come.”
(Brooksdale CSA Member)
By choosing to become a member of the Brooksdale CSA you will grow in your ability to eat “in season.” This is a learning curve for most of us, but at A Rocha we are trying to provide you with support and resources so that you can connect to the rhythms of sustainable, seasonal eating as a way of life. In this way you are making a meaningful contribution to caring for this good earth!
